Denise van Hout (1989, Nijmegen) obtained her medical degree at the University of Utrecht in 2015. As of October 2015 she started as a PhD student and will be supporting ASPIRE-ICU and ASPIRE-SSI, international cohort studies of healthcare-associated infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These studies are part of the large COMBACTE project (Combatting Bacterial Resistance in Europe). She will combine her PhD project with the Postgraduate Master of Epidemiology.
She is supervised by prof. dr. M.J.M. Bonten and prof. dr. J.A.J.W. Kluytmans.
