Biographical Sketch
Kristina Lindsley has been working in the field of systematic reviews for more than 10 years – beginning as the Project Coordinator for large-scale systematic reviews investigating the associations between food, nutrition and physical activity and the prevention of cancer, which was sponsored by the World Cancer Research Fund – and now as the Project Director of the United States Satellite of Cochrane Eyes and Vision (CEV@US), which is funded by the US National Eye Institute. As part of CEV, Kristina assists and trains ophthalmologists, optometrists, and other vision researchers in completing systematic reviews and meta-analyses. She has co-authored several systematic reviews published in the
Cochrane Library
and other journals. She also is a member of Cochrane's Comparing Multiple Interventions Methods Group, Bias Methods Group, and Trainers’ Network.
Kristina also is involved with methodologic research, online and in-person training, and serves as a peer reviewer for eyes and vision journals. Kristina earned an MS in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine from the University of Maryland, Baltimore (2004) and a BS in Biology and Psychology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (2001). Currently, Kristina is an external PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology at the Julius Center, University Medical Center, Utrecht. She is based at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland.
Interests and Focus
Her research interests include methodology and priority setting for systematic reviews. Kristina
is supervised by prof. dr. R.J.P.M. Scholten, dr. L. Hooft, and prof. dr. K. Dickersin.
