Biographical Sketch
Jolien Janssen studied medicine from 2006 untill October 2012 in Utrecht. In December 2012 she started her PhD at the Julius Center. Since September 2013 she is working as an AIOTHO (combining a PhD with GP training). Jolien is involved in two different projects. The COG-ID study, a diagnostic study of dementia in primary care. And the CAROLINA-cognition study, a substudy of the large randomised controlled trial CAROLINA, to evaluate if Linagliptin can prevent accelerated cognitive decline in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Jolien is supervised by Prof. dr. G.E.H.M Rutten and Prof. dr. G.J. Biessels.
