Public health is ‘the science and art of preventing disease, prolonging life and promoting health through the organized efforts of society’ (Acheson, 1988)
The major purpose of all of these courses is to teach students the principles and methods of healthservicesresearch, structure, quality, finance and functioning of healthcaresystems, especially social medicine and public health interventions.
Epidemiology: A one-week course Public Health Epidemiology will be given in the MSc Epidemiology (1.5 ECTS)
We perform epidemiologic research on chronic and infectious disease in children in 3 lines of research.
