Biographical Sketch
Timothy Olanrewaju is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medicine, University of Ilorin, and Nephrologist, Department of Medicine, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Nigeria. He is a Fellow of the Medical College of Physician in Nigeria, the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and Kidney Research of United Kingdom (ISN and Kidney Research UK Fellow) and have obtained a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Medical Statistics at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. Currently, he is a Co-investigator of the ongoing Human Heredity in Health Africa (H3Africa) Kidney Disease Research Network, and the H3Africa Kidney Disease Cohort Study, within which he is doing his PhD research on “The role of Biomarkers for CVD in Patients with CKD in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA)” supervised by Rick Grobbee, Peter Blankestijn and Kerstin Klipstein.
Interests and Focus
His research interest are clinical and genomic epidemiology of CKD & cardiovascular disease in CKD, acute kidney injury, Non-Communicable Disease with focus on hypertension and diabetes; and Global Health.
